maybe wouldn'tve left... but presumeably he'dve listened to his generals.  Seeing as he'd, you know, served in the military.

the thing I find most humorous in your posting is that you seem to think that any and all ills of the political process in general are the province solely of democrats.  I'm really not sure that "we all" know that democrats love to use people's misfortunes in campaign ads, I know that politicians do it, and I really dont think their ideological leanings have anything to do with how they campaign.

oh and smax, you're allowed to tell people that they know nothing about politics when you've demonstrated to any degree that your knowlege of politics goes beyond what you see as sound bytes on fox news, until then, dont try.  It makes you look foolish and hypocritical

fox news is more credible than the other news sources. u know that right?

You're basing this on...?

They spent the entire first day of the foley scandal putting him as a democrat on their lower third for gods sake

in addition to their relentless GOP fellatio, they're not even terribly good at reporting

So futile that it merited a double post?

I think you should warn chain for saying I entered the ninth circle of stupid. Whatever that is, I have no clue. Maybe chain couldn't think up an insult so he took one from his Buddhist faith and did + one, + circle and -foldpath. I dunno.

Fox News is just more republican!!!11. Wow, you sure pick onto things fast.. Yes they are, and you know what? At least they have contrasting view points which opens you up to different views. Unlike another news places that 90% of the people are liberals, Fox News is relatively evenly split. So, why does this matter to anyone? Or can you just not stop a completely liberal media?

Just because you don't like Fox News and think they are biased just because they actually have Republican show hosts (they have Democratic too, so you know it balances out?) doesn't mean they arn't credible. I know some of you may not like O'Reilly or whatever, but at least Fox News has a balance eh? And note, just because they have SOME conversative show hosts doesn't make them less credible. You know why? Because O'Reilly DOESN'T report things. He just discusses it on his SHOW. You get his OPINION. So please, saying that has absolutely NO MERIT, KTHX. Seriously, think about what this means.

And because that they have people with contrasting views, you get BOTH interpretations of a story, unlike certain things like CNN. Did you know CNN filtered out things to report on in Iraq? They presented the things that they wanted to present and even made them look "better" and didn't report on certain things which caused a big deal about a selective media. And that is not true about the Foley thing, I believe they were discussing his stance on gay marriage because, well, he is gay. I saw most of it but really I don't like to watch news reports which they were discussing his gay messages, I'm sure some of you turned in and were really interested but I wasn't.. Tongue

Now onto Avohir's sensible point. They are fine at reporting. They are just as good, if not better than CNN and the others. CNN reports a very selected group of events, to make an image. This has been discussed in the past and there was a big deal about it. And you know what? Having so many different view points on a news network just MAKES them more credible you know? Or well, some of you seem to think the exact opposite.

The moral of the story is that just because they have some republicans, that doesn't make them less credible. Seriously, that is just retarded.

Wow.

Smax's post actually made me stop for like 2 minutes and contemplate what I just read.

Smax, you say that they have democrats and republicans on fox but the democrats on Fox are roughly equal to the republicans anywhere else, and the republicans on fox are just plain wild monkey loveed. I've watched it an the pure insanity made me fear for anyone who actually believed it.

Or at least as a Canadian I'm hoping that's the case.

There is a reason people kept mentioning names in that thread about the problems with the site's moderation.

IMO any news whether it be Fox, CNN, whatever, can be credible even if its fully in support of either one side or the other. An entirely liberal news outlet can be credible in my books as long as the things they do report are accurate. Would they be the best news source? Hell no. Objective? Hell no. Credibility comes from the integrity of the facts you do choose to report on, not those you ignore. Something like the very liberal news stations we get broadcasted up here from Seattle are very bias, but the stuff they actually report is always credible.

Unlike Oedipus, I never really was good at understanding riddles. By the way I didn't warn Chain and wasn't considering it actually so keep your sombrero on your hat and hang on for the rodeo, cowboy (; I don't know what you are trying to prove or show, but really I see no point to it.

Colmes is about as liberal as you can get.. And he is just one of many of Fox News. I respect Colmes and I listen to what he has to say. I am curious about what Colmes would have to say about this. And note wog O'Reilly is not that crazy conservative. He's actually made fun of of some of those crazy conservatives, like Pat Robertson.

I hear what you're saying Lejong and I agree, but I am tired of this opinion that just because Fox News has people like O'Reilly that means that they arn't credible. Maybe you guys should actually watch Fox News instead of getting a bias based upon what other people say about it.
