Ogame is a browser-based strategy game which simulates running a galactic empire. You gather resources, construct a fleet, defend your colonies, form alliances, and compete with other players in a war for supremacy over the universe.

TheWarCenter has its own Ogame alliance in Universe 7, named xGMx. Any TWC regular is welcome to join, just send an application after registering to the alliance and include your TWC account name

Ogame Tips / Strategies: (good help / theories for different fleet compositions / defense compositions etc)
-- Ogame Tips--

CR Converters: Use these to convert your Combat Reports so that they are easier to read.  It also makes them look cooler / customized.  Basically click the Combat Report message in your message box, right click - select all text - copy.  Then paste it into the converter - click convert - select all converted text (code etc) - copy - paste into any php based forum and voile!

CR Converter Links:
Takana's - Most widely used -Also has a cool calculator tool for building stuff.
Skodges - My Favorite!
Hori

Simulator Links:  These are used to calculate attacks.  Always use this before sending a fleet into battle, so you can better predict how much, and what to send.  Its also useful for determining what kind of defense you want to build and to see what structures are strong vs what ships.  Very useful and helpful in understanding how the game works!!  These are a MUST.

Raksim - Use this for simulating nukes!
Speedsim - Most widely used stand-alone attack simulator (download).
DragoSim - HTML based Simulator, similar to speedsim.
O-Calc - Very useful for calculating almost any type of simulation.  Try it out.

Useful Equations:
Nuke Distance: N=(Impulse Level * 2)-1
IE. You have impulse lvl 7, so 7*2-1=13 systems.  N is the number of systems in both directions from your planet you will be able to nuke.  If you want to nuke further, then you need to upgrade impulse drive.

Phalanx Distance: P=(Phalanx Level^2)-1
IE. You have Phalanx lvl 4, so (4^2)-1=15 Systems. P is the number of systems in both directions from your planet you will be able to phalanx.

I GOT CRASHED OMFGZ!  --Don't fret, here are some tips to help you rebuild and to avoid it in the future.

Just a few things on how to avoid getting crashed, and preparing your colonies for an easier rebuild if you do get crashed.

-Don't leave your fleet sitting around
-If you don't think you're going to be around(have plans), fleetsave.
-Get good mines.
-Find out who can crash your fleet, and where their fleet is
-If you get crashed, build probes and cargoes first(raiding)
-If you're caught in a phalanx, either try to get some of the df yourself, or ask an alliance member for help.

I didn't bother to go into detail with any of this, but if you've got any questions/comments/whatever, then shoot.

Here are the equations for Moon destruction and chance of RIPS being destroyed--

Moon Destruction mission:

The chance to kill the moon is:
(100 - (Moonsize) ^ ?) * (number of death stars) ^ ?

The chance the attacking fleet is destroyed:
((Moonsize) ^ ?) / 2

(in case you don't know ^1/2 = square root)
