wut?

I guess he's referring to the game option that we see in many driving games and some platform/action games in consoles.

And I second 7sk's question. Why? It'd be cool.  closed eyes

It'd be stupid. From both business and practical perspectives.

The only "split screen" that needs to take place is http://kotaku.com/5593107/where-board-games-and-video-games-come-together . For no other reason than bumping table doesn't destroy the piece placement.

Then add 3d scanners for warhammer 40k tables, and rfid chips in every model shipped to ensure uniqueness.

most people don't want to do it, and for those that would bother with it, the PC industry would rather have you buy 2 copeis

If a game is simple enough to share a keyboard for, it's simple enough to be on a console.

Why? Console games for the same price have split screen multiplayer. (I think?)

But if you have two copies then you need two computers. I'm talkin like on the same machine.

How's that a problem? Simple games are often very fun. Additionally, you can plug in an extra keyboard or hell even a USB xbox controller.

what i meant is that they want you to buy 2 copies and play on 2 machines. for the people making the game, it's something that I'd think is almost never EVER requested for PC games, especially the sort that you WOULD play splitscreen

a lot of games that 2 people would both play on one computer usually benefit from having a single screen. ie a fighting game or very simple flash game

Because making split screen is hard and PC games are not expected to do it.  Making PC games with split screen would cost more to do than it would increase sales for having done so.

Our problem how? You've given 0 reasons for it. And have clearly given the idea no real thought. Less spoon feeding.
